Windsor 2018 Open Charity Stakes
Day 1 – Hound & Toy
1st Pinkey’s Ch Hydebeck Imperial Ruler JW – Irish Wolfhound. A real gentle giant. Imposing male with a lovely head and gentle expression. Strong shoulders with a very deep chest. Excellent bone. Well-muscled rear quarters. Very harsh coat. Moved effortlessly around the ring with an easy gait.
2nd Dowty’s Multi Ch Little White Wonder Othello Matteo CW16 CW17 ShCM – Bolognese. Compact in appearance with excellent pigment. Dark eyes with pleasing expression. Good front, level back with moderate rear. Presented in excellent coat, although I would prefer a shade more flocking. Smart mover.
Day 2 – Terrier & Utility
1st Anderson’s Ch Zentarr Tobias – Lhasa Apso. Attractive in outline with attitude in abundance. Almost flat skull with dark eyes and somewhat aloof expression. Good shoulder placement with level topline and well developed rear. Immaculate coat presentation. Powered around the ring.
2nd Krall’s Ch Jafrak Finger Of Fudge – French Bulldog. Square head with bat ears and appealing expression. Cobby body with super chest and moderate rear angulation. Brisk movement with little effort. A very close decision between 1 & 2.
Day 3 – Working & Pastoral
1st Norcini’s Broadmaynes Eclipse To Nolmacdon ShCM JW – German Shepherd Dog. Wonderful, masculine head with a confident expression from his dark eyes. Excellent shoulders, deep chest, long in rib, strong well-muscled rear. Could have watched him power around the ring all day.
2nd Bartlett’s Ch Carbonnie Callieco Star For Kelligrews JW ShCM – Bearded Collie. Very feminine with broad skull, dark eyes and melting expression. Good layback of shoulder with correct length of body. Complimentary rear quarters. Correct coat texture presented superbly. Moved well and so in tune with her handler.
Day 4 – Gundog
1st Williams & Toublic Cobhay dazzling Azalea – Spaniel (English Springer) Fairly broad in skull and so feminine with kind expression. Excellent layback of shoulder. Deep chest with good spring of rib. In excellent muscle tone. Lovely feathering. Covered the ground with a free gait.
2nd Whittington’s Juldeane Excaliber ShCM – English Setter. Elegant male with the most expressive eyes. Well laid shoulders with deep chest, short in back, good leg muscles. Lovely silky coat. Moved freely.
