My thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge at their well organised show, the first time at their new venue, to William my ring steward for organising everything efficiently and the exhibitors for their entries.

A lovely class with some promising pups
1st Chambers’ Musique Born Legacy (GS Klein)
8 month white dog, appealed in head with small well placed ears and the darkest of eyes and pigment. Straight front, round feet, level back leading to correctly carried and set tail. Sturdy body and moved well. Plenty of coat in lovely condition. BP & pleased to award him PG2
2nd Lock & Denning’s Lockenstox Myst Eke (Min Schnauzer)
Just 6 months old, mature for her age and showed like a veteran. Flat skull, ears well placed, dark eyes all give an alert expression. Square outline, straight front, chest developing well, tail high set and carried well. Very well presented and moved soundly.
3rd Cheatham’s Schipdale A Kind of Magic (Schipperke)

1st Lock & Denning’s Lockenstox Lightning (Min Schnauzer)
Well presented pepper & salt bitch with harsh coat. Good length of head with dark oval eyes and correctly set ears. Straight front, plenty of rib, broad chest, square outline. Tail well set and carried, her well muscled rear allowed her to move out around the ring. RBOB
2nd Whitehead’s Gladsheim Helios (Kooikerhondje)
Well marked dog in lovely coat. Well shaped head with stop, dark eyes, ears correctly set and feathered. Straight front, laid back shoulder, level topline leading to long enough tail. Strong in rear and moved well.
3rd Prout’s Maho Mirai Luke at Kessaku (Jap Spitz)

1st Manners’ Chadbower Nevaeh Lahetti (Schipperke)
Mature bitch, correct cobby shape. Broad skull, dark eyes, erect ears which she uses all give typical foxy expression. Straight front, small, neat feet, well laid shoulders, short back leading to round rump. Tail well set. Rear well muscled. Her movement is sound and brisk. BOB and G3
2nd Chambers’ Manzamas Made With Pride (GS Klein)
White bitch & dam of BP, many of the same comments apply. I liked her shape, coat in good condition and movement sound. She seemed distracted and wouldn’t use her ears today.

1st Chambers’ Musique Quilo (GS Klein)
Another well presented dog from this exhibitor. Typical head being broad in skull with well placed and used ears, dark eyes but nose pigment could improve. Straight front, short body with enough rib, high set tail. Moved well to win this strong class.
2nd Sensation Vom Tespelkooi of Valleyrise (Kooikerhondje)
Mature bitch with good coat and markings. Appealing head with stop and narrower muzzle, dark eyes, ears well set and feathered with dark tips. Straight front, well laid shoulder, enough rib, well muscled rear. Moved soundly.
3rd Ferry’s Dunlin’s Quando of Houndbrae With Ferrybelle (Jap Spitz)

1st Manners’ Komargo’s Crazy Diamond at Roopec (Schipperke)
One I have judged before, he was 13 years old on the day and still in lovely coat and condition. Foxy head, well used ears, dark eyes. Deep chest, straight in front. Moved smartly around the ring to win BV
2nd Crunchcroft Justified of Valleyrise ShCM (Kooikerhondje)
11 years old and full of energy in good coat of rich colour. Dark eyes, feathered ears. Straight front, well laid shoulders, level topline. Not quite as steady in movement as 1st.
