Chihuahua Breed Notes 08/02/19
Well, its been a busy old week in Chihuahua Town, but not much to report on I’m afraid. Pleased to report my £2.50 jacket for Crufts from eBay arrived and it’s a perfect fit. Only problem was I then went on to buy about 6 other cardigans on eBay that I really didn’t need that I came across while looking!!
No champ shows to report on this week.
Only a bit of news from the open shows: at Cumberland (longs) Kirstie Price’s My Precious A True Love of Kircyan went BPIB and PG3, (smooths) Lesley Taylor’s Arkoschi Miss Prim N Proper went BOB after winning the open class. Please do send me your wins as I don’t always see them on Facebook.
The British Chihuahua Club has a number of Chihuahuas in rescue up for rehoming – further details are on their facebook page.
Crufts entries have been announced; 251 dogs making 281 entries in longs, and 162 dogs making 164 entries in smooths.
I’m actually having a weekend off from showing and going to visit my sister in Norwich as she moved there a few weeks ago. Mum will be on dog duties all weekend; and it will be my first weekend away from the dogs in several years. Not sure how I feel about that! I believe she has a list of jobs for me to do when I get there! However, please send me your open show results so I have a bit more to write about next week. Come on, don’t be shy!!
Some very sad news this week that Audrey Vickers of the Audels affix has passed away. She was someone I never met, but I certainly knew her name, affix and breeding. The funeral is Wednesday 13 February, 11am at Bronington Church, Wrexham. Thoughts and prayers are with her family.
