It’s been a busy old week in Chihuahua Town with UKTD. Easter is not far off now and then we start to see the outdoor shows. Last weekend I collected a fabulous box frame with a cut out of one of my boys in which to display his rosettes (you may have seen it on my Facebook page). This was made for me by Jessica Murray and they are absolutely beautiful. Please do contact her if you are interested in getting one for yourself. The cut out is done of your own dog, which makes it unique and special.
Results from UKTD:
Longs were judged by Dianne Robinson, her last judging appointment as she is retiring. We wish Dianne all the best for a long and happy retirement. However, she will still be showing locally and involved in the Smoothcoat Chihuahua Club. It was a day of ‘firsts’ as both the bitch and dog CC winners in longs took their first CCs. DCC and BOB was Carol Conquest’s Chihohit Favorite Apollo at Storyland, RDCC Jill Palmer and Willy Heap’s Ch Penapettit Platinum, BCC Colin Cragg’s Reynoldco Sweet Dreams JW, RBCC Steve Rooney’s Ch Donami Limelight, BP Dorothy Entwistle’s Dorentys Fancy That, BV Geoffrey Curr’s Ch Natimuk Astrid and Best SpecBeg Pauline Wills’ Dorenty Dazzlin Duncan.
Smooths were judged by Lawrence Llamas. DCC and BOB was L Anderson’s Lumanatii Rolling Thunder, who then went on to take RBIS! RDCC was Shih-Chi Chen’s Ch Copymear Calendar Boy JW, BCC Steve Rooney’s Jicara High Voltage, RBCC L Soper’s Ch Leander Just Jane at Ballybroke, BP J Suprinaitye’s Borjomi Fortune, BV Pam Tranter’s Ch Taradona Mozart and Best SpecBeg S L Berwick’s Highlandchi’s Star Gazer.
Just one open show result for you – at West Lothian Michelle Emmerson’s X-Ismirelle’s Boy Dogomania went BOB and G3.
Junior Warrants:
The Kennel Club Journal has been published for April with the following JW’s – Edith Lynch’s Garnox Picture This and Jim Culverhouse’s Lykath’s Peep Bo (both longs).
If you haven’t seen it, Fiona Hughes, who is a vet working for Willows Vet group, has made a short film available on YouTube about the Chihuahua, includes some of the problems they can get, aimed at pet buyers considering a Chihuahua. Very informative and useful, and you can see it here: https://www.facebook.com/404055729662954/posts/2142183972516779?sfns=mo
Good luck and safe travels to all of you heading up to Scotland this weekend – I won’t be there as I’m tied up overseeing the final of a public speaking competition at school.
If you’re not heading up to Scotland, please don’t forget to let me have your open show wins and news!
