Well what a cold week we’ve just had! We had no snow here, so it was work as usual! However it was lovely looking on social media seeing all your hounds out enjoying themselves in the snow. It was especially lovely seeing Kay Vernon’s gorgeous litter of puppies out playing in the snow!
Our hard working secretary, Julie McKenzie has arranged a breed appreciation day in October. The speaker I believe is Bob Newsham from the very successful and well know Windspiel kennel. This BAD will be in the morning with the Club Open show in the afternoon, what a lovely opportunity for those who want to know more about our lovely breed. More details of venue to follow or look on the Greyhound Club website.
Sad news from Andy and Julie McKenzie, as they have lost their racing bred greyhound Skye, a small but beautiful solid steel blue colour hound. Andy and Julie worked very hard to nurse this bitch to health as she had a very poor start in life; testimony to the care they gave in her grand age of 12 and half years.
No news from any shows this weekend, but do let me know any wins you may have. Also if you see any societies with greyhound scheduled let me know so I can include dates etc. in here
Don’t forget to send in any nominations you may have in readiness for the AGM to Julie
