It has been so nice to have some warmer than expected weather post-Christmas to make us feel a little better! Sadly, our friends in Australia are having such a tragic time, and I am sure we all feel for them and are doing out bit to help where we can. I note that Boston Championship Show is having buckets for donations and putting all the spectator dog entry fees toward this which is a nice touch. Kathy Spacey also has a link on her facebook page on how to give donations as well. Luckily it appears our greyhound loving exhibitors in Australia appear safe, long may this continue.
I see that Oxfordshire C S has scheduled greyhound classes on 1st March with Jodie Cutler judging our breed. Schedules available on fosse data. The Greyhound Club Open show is on 15th March and schedules have been posted out to members, if anyone has not had theirs and wishes to have one, then do contact Julie Mackenzie or it is on line on Higham Press. Postal entries shut on 8th February and on-line 22nd February.
Of course, the AGM will be held as usual in conjunction with the open show. This year the AGM will be followed by a talk and then lunch, prior to judging. Please support this initiative and don’t forget to please book your lunch on the entry form!
It appears that 15 greyhounds entered at the first championship show (with challenge certificates) of the season at Manchester and 12 at Boston where there are no CCs on offer. Good luck to those travelling to the shows.
