Happy Cruftsmas!!
It is that time of year that all doggy people think of as the highlight of the dog showing calendar. Whether you are attending just for the day, or are lucky enough to go everyday, I hope that you enjoy it all the same. I am sure that most of you will have been practicing like mad to perfect your handling ready for your time to shine. Whether this be by attending ring craft, handling seminars; some of which I have listed previously, or just been practicing with your parents in the garden. Or you have been brushing, trimming, bathing, stripping to make sure that all important judge notices your dog in the line up. I would like to wish you all the very best of luck! Remember to enjoy yourself, get a good nights sleep before and have what you can already organised; from your outfit, knowing the judging order, making sure you have bait/toy ready, ring number and finally that you are signed in, if you need to be. One of the worst feelings is to be rushed or unprepared. Believe me I know!
I will be there all four days and would love to see you and would especially love to know any good results whether handling, stakes or breed. So please feel free to find me so that I can take a picture of you, your dog and the win to include in the next Handling Scene.
Now with the amazing weather we have all experienced within the last week many shows/events have been cancelled. The event of The Welsh Top Dog and therefore Top Welsh Junior Handler has been postponed and rearranged to the 1st April, which mean this will be covered here at K9 News just after.
Finally, some of you will hoping that your successes continue to Crufts.

What a brilliant example of a young handler doing so well, even without it being her own dog. (She is pictured here, have you ever seen a happier handler!)
So, all there is left to say is Good Luck at all, enjoy and I shall hopefully see you there.
Until Next Time…
