As the year starts to come to an end, only one championship show remains in both the UK and Ireland. This weekend coming sees the final championship show of the year, LKA, being held in the NEC in Birmingham. Havanese are third in ring 3 on Saturday after 72 Miniature Pinchers and 35 Coton De Tulear. LKA always proves to be a popular show and this year is no exception with judge Pauline Sidgwick has drawn a lovely entry of 63 Havanese, making an entry of 68.
In Ireland, we have our Christmas Open Show, hosted by the Combined Canine Club to look forward to this weekend. Always a fun show, with special guest Santa Clause making an appearance, it promises to be a fantastic day.
Last weekend here in Ireland, we held our Drogheda and District Open Show and I would like to thank all exhibitors for their entries and support. Havanese were judged by Mrs Oonagh Quinn, who awarded Best of Breed to Michael and Dolores Kane’s Christa’s Jumpy Clown Only You. Well done folks!
In the UK, Stephanie Smith’s young girl, Elperrito Step in Time received her Bronze Good Citizen award on Monday Night. What a great achievement, congratulations! She also had success over the weekend picking up Best Puppy and Best AV Toy and then was awarded Group 2 at Bridlington & District Canine Society. Big well done!
