Well it’s been relatively quiet the past couple of weeks, with the show season starting to wind down. There have been a few open shows happening around the UK. At Plymouth and District Kennel Association Open Show, Jackie Day’s girl, Cubadias Caribbean Damsel was awarded Breed and then went on to win the Toy Group under Bethan Evans. At Blackpook and Flyde Toy Dog Show, Susanna Thorne won Best of Breed and the Reserve Best Puppy in Show with her girl Dyffrynsands Tilly Tinker, under judge Clive Jones. Congratulations ladies!
Kimberly Smith’s young boy, Sooty, El Peritto Mastershowman, was awarded the puppy award at the Kennel Club Good Citizen night recently – well done Kimberly and Sooty!
In Australia, I believe history has been made in our breed! Gail Ransom’s Havanease, Supreme Ch Karyme Heartbeat At My Feet and Grand Ch Karyme Peloton were both recently awarded their final CACIB necessary for their International Titles! This makes them the first two Havanese to qualify for the title in Australia! Huge congratulations on this wonderful achievement!
There’s not a whole lot happening at the moment, sadly. With only two championship shows to go before the end of the year in Ireland, and one in the UK, it looks like we will all have a quiet few weeks! I will try to keep abreast of any news from open shows happening around and of course, I urge you all to share any news you may have with me please.
