Isn’t it hard to believe that October is nearly over already! It’s been a quite week, as there have been no championship shows in either Ireland or the UK. I for one was delighted with the break from showing, although it wasn’t a totally dog show free weekend for me, as I had honour of judging the Tibetan Association of Ireland’s Club Show in Cloghran on Sunday. I must say they are a delightful little breed, one that I would seriously consider getting into when I’ve had enough of maintaining a Havanese coat.
On the Open Show front, Susanna Thorne had a lovely day winning Best Puppy in Breed and 1st in the Puppy Group with Dyffrynsands Tilly Tinker under Greta Franklin. Her boy, Jamboree Lee Coeur de Masai was awarded Best of Breed.
In Northern Ireland, the North of Ireland Pekingese Toy Group Show took place two weekends ago. The judge was Ms S White and she selected Michael and Dolores Kane’s Christa’s Jumpy Clown Only You as her Best of Breed.
This coming weekend, we have Midland Counties in the UK. The judge is Mr K Young and he has drawn 56 Havanese making an entry of 64. Havanese are on Sunday in ring 7 and won’t be judged before 12.30 pm. Good luck to all attending!
In Ireland, we have Bullbreeds All Breeds Championship Show takes place on Monday, which is a bank holiday here. At present, we do not have any entry figures, order of judging or ring plan, however I will be sure to updated these notes once we have some more information. Good luck to all attending Bullbreeds on Monday!
