People travelling to Kelso for the Border Union Champ show…
LOCAL vets have issued a warning to all dog owners following the deaths of four pets in the Borders through infectious canine hepatitis.
The acute liver infection is highly contagious.
Although most dogs do survive, it can prove fatal and vets are advising all owners to make sure their animals are up-to-date vaccinated.
A spokeswoman for Galedin Vets, who have branches in Galashiels, Kelso, Duns, Eyemouth, Coldstream and Berwick, said: “There have been confirmed cases of canine infectious hepatitis in the Borders area.
There is a good sized entry at East of England under breed specialist Brian Lees 100 entered with 116 entries.
Another good entry this time at Windsor is 90/92 for breed specialist Pat Cox.
Hopefully the problems with uploading breed notes has now been resolved and you will see breed notes in a timely fashion.
I will add shows closing and useful links once notes are appearing within a day or two of being sent.
Please restart sending your results and news and I will ensure they are added to the next notes.
Best of luck to all going to Border Union this weekend, I look forward to seeing the results.
