There were no IKC Championship Shows in Ireland this weekend, but over the Irish Sea, Driffield Championship Show was on for 4 days at Wetherby Racetrack in North Yorkshire. Toy day was on Sunday 23rd of September, and the Pug Judge on the day was Breed Specialist, John Swinge (Balthazar).
The Dog CC (his first), and Best of Breed went to Sally Mackenzie’s Popinjay Philharmonic at Supersound, JW. “Wilbury” was bred by Cilla and Ernie Johnston from Malvern. The Johnston’s also bred the RCC Bitch winner (Wilbury’s litter Sister), Karen Murphy’s Popinjay Ruby Tuesday, Jun Ch, so it was a fantastic day for their breeding.
The Bitch CC (her second) went to Gail Saffer’s Boynhams Vanilla Latte Ragemma, who was bred by Kate Cook, and the reserve dog CC was awarded to Rosemary and John Alexander’s Hugapug Nutcracker Treveth JW ShCM (who was bred by Colin & Mary Wills)
All of the above winners are progeny of GB CH Boynhams Utter Nutter Ragemma, JW ShCM – a very proud day for Kate Cook, his breeder, and his owner, Gail Saffer.
Best Puppy in Breed was won by Joan Fox’s Rhodenash Klifford at Dimrost, and Best Special Beginner was won by Molly Reid’s Buppabug Super Trouper (who is also a Daughter of “Utter Nutter”).
That’s all for this week!
