In Ireland on the 6th and 7th of October there were back-to-back International Shows hosted by the Irish Kennel Club at the National Show Centre in Cloughran. On the first day Pugs were judged by Mr I Vyguzov (Russia), who awarded Green Star Dog, CACIB Dog, Best of Breed, and Group 2 to Coogan’s Black Multi-Champion Tangetoppens Yes I do Christmas. The Reserve Green Star and Reserve CACIB went to Holmes’s Clodana Maverick at Dencas, CW18, CJW18 Jun Ch. Best Baby Puppy in Breed was also awarded to Holmes’s bitch Yorlanders Saffron at Dencas.
The Bitch Green Star and CACIB went to Grant-Cooks Ir CH Kerronmor Diamond in the Sky, CJW17, Jun CH, and the Reserve Green Star and Reserve CACIB went to Grant Cook’s other Bitch, Kerronmor Wings of an Angel, Jun Ch.
On the second day Pugs were judged by Josie Foley (Ireland)- the Keronmor Kennel had another great day, once again winning the Bitch Green Star and CACIB with IR CH Kerronmor Diamond in the Sky CJW17, Jun Ch, and the Reserve Green Star and Reserve CACIB with Kerronmor Wings of an Angel, Jun Ch. They also won the Dog Green Star and Dog CACIB with Kerronmor Mr T. Once again Holmes’s Clodana Maverick at Dencas, CW18 CJW18 Jun Ch., picked up the Reserve Dog Green Star and Reserve CACIB, and Yorlanders Saffron at Dencas won Best Baby Puppy in Breed.
Over the Irish Sea at South Wales Kennel Associations Championship Show at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells, Pug judging took place on Saturday October 6th. The officiating Judge on the day was Charlotte Swateridge. The Dog CC (his 2nd) and Best of Breed went to Linnett’s Conquell at a Glance; the reserve was awarded to Storey’s CH Rhodenash Kotten Klyde, JW.
The Bitch CC (he 6th) went to Storey’s CH Rhodenash Gloria, with the reserve being awarded to Bailey’s Hattella Tulip at Lampugs, JW.
Not only did the Conquell Kennel win Best of Breed, they also won Best Puppy in Breed with, Conquell Champers on Ice, who later went on to win the Toy Puppy Group under Mark Cocozza. Huge Congrats to Hilary Linnett their breeder for a fantastic day!
