There were no shows for Pugs in Ireland this weekend past. However, in England Three Counties Championship Show was held in Malvern on June 9th, and Wales and West of England Pug Dog Club had their Championship Show on June 10th in Churchdown. The Show venues are about 40 minutes apart, so quite a few people attended both shows.
Colin Gullon Judged Pugs at Three Counties Championship Show. He awarded the Dog CC to Storey’s CH Rhodenash Kotten Klyde JW – this was his 19th CC! The RDCC (his 2nd), went to Mackenzie’s Junior Dog, Popinjay Philharmonic at Supersound. Best Puppy Dog was awarded to Irene Ferguson’s black boy, Tartanmops Diamonds n Coal.
The Bitch ticket and Best of Breed was awarded to Phelps-Terrets Bilokha Little Spitfire; Edwards Rhodenash Livin the Dream picked up the RBCC. Best Puppy Bitch went to Ashton’s Rosewitch Another Excuse for Zobear, who went on to Win Best Puppy in Breed and the Day 3 Eukanubia Puppy Stakes under Frank Kane.
Lastly, but by no means least, Best Veteran in Breed was awarded to Du-mons Myleforbe Hester at Spellowgate.
The following day at Churchdown Community Centre, Joyce Clark Judged Dogs, and Stephen Bardwell, Bitches. The Dog CC and Best in Show went to Kirk’s CH Hattella Finnegan. The RDCC was awarded to McAleney’s Macmoore Mr Tambourine Man, JW.
