We have been asked to share this heart felt Letter from YKC member Rebecca Dobson
Simon Luxmoore (current KC chairman) and his wife Pauline Luxmoore have been in dogs for a collective of 50+ years.
Both Simon and Pauline are two of the kindest and approachable people in the dog world, always offering words of advice when needed, and being there to help whenever they can do so.
The Luxmoore’s both spend a great deal of time supporting and helping the dog world, in all aspects. Neither Pauline or Simon are paid for their time, they do it out of pure love of their dogs, receiving no payment and to help everyone else enjoy what we do.
Pauline starting in dogs as a Junior and Simon in his 30’s and now do a lot to support, encourage and help the juniors enjoy the show world! Such as which neither take any credit for again they do it to help!
As for the Chanel 4 TV show ‘The Posh Frock Shop’ where we could see Pauline trying and choosing a dress to wear for the Pawscars (doggy Oscars). You can clearly see Pauline is pushing the fact the Pawscars is there to recognise everything and everyone good in dogs which we all seem to forget at times. Pauline also pushes the fact that Pawscars is there to raise money for charity which Gavin Robertson set up, ‘ Peek-A-Boo Trust’. Pauline also pushes all things positive in dogs on the Channel 4 TV programme when most of the public just find the negatives in our hobby.
- There have been three Chairman since I started showing dogs. Simon is the first to show an interest in juniors in public. Whether that be watching or talking to us.
Before being on the General Committee he/they
- Supported the JHA Association
- Attended a day at YKC Summer Camp
- Supported the international handling
- Chat to juniors asking them how they have done in handling and in breed
- Help them find dogs to use for handling

The juniors will be taking over the show world soon, so lets start now!
So lets have a vote of yes confidence:
So far I have almost 100 signatures in less than 24 hours of support.
