An interesting fact was unfortunately found by Alison Finlay this week when one of her dogs required surgery. It transpired that (at the AHT) the cost of treatment went up by £300 because he is on a raw diet. The reason being given was “extra hygiene precautions in theatre ie additional gowns etc were needed because of bacteria in raw meat diet.”
This weekend sees the WSSCSWs’ Championship show at Chepstow where the entries are: 48 dogs making 76 entries for Jennifer Murray & 65 bitches making 101 entries for Debbie Roberts Total 177 entries overall.
Very sad news was received this week that John Walton has passed away on 12th March after a lengthy illness. John and Anne are well known for their Hillpark kennel, originally based in Kent but in latter years they moved to Cumbria.
The funeral details life are: The funeral/celebration of his life is Wednesday 28th, 2pm at St Columba’s Church, Warcop in Cumbria.
John was a big supporter of the Great North Air ambulance, having been rescued by them a few years ago, so donations to this worthy cause, in his memory are welcome.
