Sue Tubb was the judge for the WSSC’s Open Show, the last club show of the year, at Corley Village Hall.
Her BD was Ann Worth’s Sarabande Perfect Storm ShCM with Julia McCann’s Slapestnes Tidal Force RBD, Rita Cemis’ Taimere’s Talk About Me BPD and Sharon Barkley’s Sh Ch Cherryheath’s Mr Mischief JW ShCM BVD.
Into the afternoon, her BB was Mandy Thomas’ Bowdonia Anastasia JW, RBB Jenna Cocking, Pete Barnaby & Gill Tully’s Sh Ch/NL Ch Bushwacker Gregory’s Girl at Highclare, BPB Tim & Honor Harrison’s Glenbrows Temptress and BVB Cerysan Pocahontas.
The final top places went to BIS S. Perfect Storm, RBIS B. Anastasia, BPIS G. Temptress and BVIS C. Mr Mischief.
The SEWSSC recently held their AGM at Godstone where their Committee hanged slightly with new additions being Tracey Bennett & Bridget Ferguson replacing retiring Helen Hankins & Julie Exall.
Stephen Pick, Chair, has for a number of year selected a member (non-committee) as ‘Supporter Of The Year for work done for the Club. This year his choice was Sandy White, primarily for her support on the Working side.
The Club proposed, and following a vote that was passed, that their Financial Year run from January to December with the next AGM being in March. The next AGM will subsequently be held on 29h Marc 2020.
The Annual points cup winners were announced, points having been won from events primarily held by the SEWSSC.
BestVetera was joint between Kim Stone’s Stedigan Pipers Piping for Merrem & Ann Caldwell’s Cerysan Purely By Chance with Marion McDowell & Ann’s Sh Ch Gemill Back To The Future for Cerysan runner up.
Best Puppy was Tim & Honor Harrison’s Glenbrows This Is Me with runner upWendy buckwell’s Killena One Nite Love Affair.
Dog of the Year was Mandy Thomas & Helen Upton’s Sh Ch Bowdonia Seraphina with two dogs in a tie for runner up: Ann Caldwell’s Hillpark Queen Bee for Cerysan & Paul & Fiona Stevenson’s Isfryn King Leir at Blythway.
Owner of the year was Sharon Barkley, and to make the day her Cherryheath’s Miss Chief JW was the winner of the working trophy with son Cherryheath’s Mr Mojito runner up.
Following a lovely buffet lunch Pat Butler-Holley, as the Breed Education Co-ordinator (BEC) gave a very straightforward talk on the Judges Competency Framework explaining the pathways up/ through the various levels.
