WORCESTER & MALVERN CANINE SOCIETY
OPEN SHOW JANUARY 12th 2019
CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIELS
Thanks go to the members and committee for a well run show. Although the noise level in the venue appeared to worry some of the dogs the large ring was complimentary to assessing their movement.
Puppy 4
(1) My most challenging class with three quality puppies.
1st Long’s Arroline Eclipse. Outstanding 9 month tri bitch who takes the ring with her presence and being one with her handler. She has the sweetest of heads with soft expressive eyes not always conducive to a tri. Good substance to her well balanced body with lovely reach of neck going into well laid shoulders and level top line. Coat coming on well with raven markings and a rich tan. BP.
2nd Homes’ Leogem Ravel. Short coupled 11month blen bitch with a wealth of coat. Dark eyes and pigment with flat skull. Good turn of stifle. Showed well.
3rd Watts’ Jamesbonny Master Lucas.
Junior 4 (1)
1st Newell’s Tamyse Charlie Brown Corbianne. 16 month well coated heavily marked tri boy who moved well with good shoulders a level topline carrying his tail well. Masculine head with shallow stop.
2nd Homes’ Leogen Myrtle. A small well balanced 11month blen girl with nicely marked coat and good pigment. Well made, good shape and level topline when standing. Pretty head She was very active I think due to the noise level so it was hard to assess her movement.
3rd Paradise & Webber’s Sunsante Arrow to Shardlow.
Yearling 2
1st Paradise & Webber’s Sunsante Arrow to Shardlow. A 16 month b/t boy sporting a thick raven black coat and bright tan. Soft expression with good width to his head. Well laid shoulders with level topline. Moved OK.
2nd Newell’s Corbieanne Precious Magic. Tri bitch with a good coat, well turned stifle and level topline.
Post Graduate 2 (1)
1st Newell’s Hearthfriend Magic Trick at Corbieanne
A lovely mature 3year Tri bitch with a profuse coat, heavily marked with dark pigment. She is well made with good spring of rib, level topline and well turned stifles. Moved out well coming and going. Nice example of breed with a pretty head, well set ears with long leathers. RBOB
Open 3 (1)
1st Homes’ Leogem Aliona. A real toy spaniel so typical of this exhibitors kennel. Very feminine 3year old blen bitch who took the ring moving with such balance reminding me of having to walk with a book on my head when a child! She has a lovely outline with good shoulders and topline. Sweet head, good mouth, round eyes with gentle expression Well set ears with plenty of feathering. Pleased to award her BOB. And to learn she was G4. Hope to see her more in the future.
2nd Newell’s Corbienne Charlottes Boy. 6 year old Blen boy happily showing himself well. Well broken plentiful coat. Strong head with reasonable teeth and good pigment.
